PAST SIMPLE AND PAST CONTINUOUS

El Pasado Simple para los verbos regulares se construye añadiendo la terminación "-ed" al verbo. La forma es la misma para todas las personas (I, you, he, she, it, we, they).

Para los verbos irregulares hay que memorizar su forma de pasado y de participio.

El Pasado Continuo se construye con el verbo auxiliar “to be” en su forma pasada y el verbo principal en infinitivo con la terminación -ing:

PRESENT PERFECT

El verbo “have” tiene que conjugarse según la persona que acompañe:

I haven’t met you yet (aún no te he conocido)

You haven’t met someone yet (aún no has conocido a alguien)

He/she hasn’t met you yet (él/ella aún no te ha conocido)

We haven’t met you yet (aún no te hemos conocido)

They haven’t met you yet (ellos aún no te han conocido)

En la tercera persona, el “have” cambia a “has”.

El segundo verbo, que sigue al “have”  tiene que aparecer en la forma de past participle, la cual se construye diferente si se trata de verbos regulares o irregulares.
